Aişegül Telli

Irene Cornelissen

Aişegül Telli is an Istanbul-based jewelry artist who graduated from Chemistry in 2009. She found herself seeking for an appropriate language to transform her emotions & impressions into contemporary art. She delivered projects from darkroom to digital underwater photography and fashion styling to watercolour painting. After taking jewellery classes, she decided these little wearable sculptures were the most satisfying ones that could speak to the viewers and wearers. Every idea then every piece forced her to experience new materials, and every material was another language. In 2014, she launched her first collection of pieces called Undersurface, inspired by her diving sessions in the Indian Ocean. Her jewellery has been exhibited in countries such as Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Lithuania, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, China, United States and Turkey; rewarded in Italy and represented in prestigious art fairs such as SOFA Chicago, Art Aspen and Form Miami.

“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
Jacques- Yves Cousteau

“My work is undoubtedly an adoration & dedication to the underwater world. With Undersurface and Anemone Collections, I try to depict the beauty of marine creatures, presenting their unique forms & colour richness. I want to create a soothing & relaxing effect for the viewer by all the details it offers.”
